You’re like Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, and anyone else whose words are held up to public scrutiny. Be careful… I promise you… one day YOU WILL SAY SOMETHING STUPID!
You most likely don’t have the same reach as most celebrities, but your words still carry meaning. But don’t worry… there is so much content out there, the second you insert your cyber foot into your mouth, there is someone else waiting in line to capture the “How do I recall that tweet” spotlight.

The fact of the matter is (except for Weiner), most of us paused and said “What were they thinking?” and moved on with our lives. I don’t know if it’s because we’ve become numb to it or some other idiotic post has grabbed our attention. Maybe it’s a combination of the two. The takeaway is this – we need to take our posts seriously, but if you mess up, life will go on.
The most important thing to remember about posting your content is to make it engaging. It’s kind of hard to be truly engaging without taking some risks. Let’s face it, we’re all tired of reading the “Top 10 ways to write a blog about the Top 10 ways.” You want to put valuable information out there or at the very least, be interesting. You should take chances and be provocative. You might make some enemies by speaking your mind, but people will appreciate your fresh perspective.
Just keep in mind… just about anyone can go back on Facebook timeline and crawl inside your warped little digital world.
