In an effort to provide relief to those impacted by Hurricane Sandy, online marketing company fishbat opens its doors to the local business community along with non-profit organization Island Harvest to “Lend a Fin.”

On November 2nd, Long Island social media agency fishbat and non-profit organization Island Harvest will “Lend a Fin” as their part of the recovery effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The Lend a Fin recovery effort will serve as the central hub for Long Island donations and relief throughout the holiday season.

With thousands of Long Islanders out of power, and hundreds of local businesses suffering in the wake of Sandy, a lending hand – or fin – is always welcome. fishbat, a local digital marketing agency, is hosting Lend a Fin, a recovery effort campaign to bring power back to local businesses and help revitalize the local community.

“We want to extend a helping hand to all local island businesses that are struggling in the wake of Sandy. Our doors, cubicles and Wi-Fi are open to any local business, especially those that are assisting in the recovery effort,” stated Clay Darrohn, fishbat CEO.

Island Harvest, a long island based non-profit organization, will be collecting goods for those impacted by Sandy at the fishbat office on Long Island. “fishbat and Island Harvest will be collecting donations from non-perishable food items to clothing in our effort to help the local community,” comments Darrohn. As part of the Lend a Fin recovery effort, fishbat will be raffling off a free website overhaul valued at $10,000 for every donation made.

“We ask that everyone, whether you are a Long Islander or not, to have a heart and lend a fin to all those in need during this tragic time,” states Darrohn.

For those that want to Lend a Fin, and pay it forward, please bring a non-perishable item for Island Harvest to the fishbat office, located at 25 Orville Drive, Suite 101B, Bohemia, NY 11716 (located directly across from Long Island MacArthur Airport). fishbat stresses safety while traveling, as the road conditions are still questionable in many areas.
