The Top 5 Potential Comedy Central Roasts

Over the past few weeks, social media agencies have been buzzing about Comedy Central’s latest Roast victim: James Franco.

The established actor, writer, director, painter, etc. has been on a nonstop roll of success and he has no intention of stopping anytime soon. Franco comes off a year loaded with successful films, TV spots, and directorial work.

Selecting James Franco was a pretty wise choice for many reasons—the main being that his close-knit group of friends consists primarily of hilarious comedians and writers. Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Jonah Hill, Nick Kroll and more will roast the “Oz” actor. Another great reason is that Franco’s career has been so versatile, which leaves room for a wide variety of jokes.

After reading the information about the roast, I started to think of some potential Roast ideas, and just like that, a Top 5 was created. So here are the Top 5 celebrities that need to be roasted next:

5.) Conan O’Brien: Coco O’Brien needs to be roasted because we all know he is one of the kings of roasting guests and various members of his staff on a weekly televised basis. Oh, and it’s quite obvious that The Head Roaster must be Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

4.) Steve Martin: Mr. Martin has, and always will be, one of the funniest comedians to ever grace a screen or stage. Martin’s great career alone makes him a perfect roast choice and The Head Roaster should be none other than Dan Aykroyd, Steve’s “wild and crazy’ brother.

3.) Will Ferrell: As on of the funniest actors around, Ferrell needs to be roasted. However, he should be in the character of Ron Burgundy and be roasted by the entire cast of Anchorman (who will also be in complete character).

2.) Zach Galifinakis: This roast would be so awkwardly funny just like Galifinakis. I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of jokes that would develop at this roast, but I can say that the roast master should be Mr. Chang from the “Hangover.”

1.) Lorne Michaels: Lorne Michaels is the creator and Father of Saturday Night Live. Lorne has been responsible for so much comedic history through his work on SNL. He has worked with hundreds of successful comedians throughout his career and has single handily changed the careers of some. The Roast Master? None other than Tina Fey and Will Ferrell, two of the most loved SNL actors.
