On March 25, leading Long Island social media agency fishbat, Inc. gives thanks to Island Harvest and the New York Mets for honoring the company at Island Harvest’s upcoming “Home Run To End Hunger” charity event in May.
As part of its annual “Home Run To End Hunger” event, Island Harvest is honoring fishbat for being a loyal supporter of the charity at a New York Mets game against the Chicago White Sox on May 8. Island Harvest, a Long Island food bank, has provided food for over 110,000 children each year in an effort to promote hunger relief. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund programs that raise awareness for the fight against hunger.
Justin Maas, vice president of client relations for social media agency fishbat, Inc., says the company is excited to be honored at the event and looks forward to helping Island Harvest raise money to end hunger. “Island Harvest has done a great job providing children with food for years,” he says. “The number of children receiving food through Island Harvest’s network is so great, that they would fill up Citi Field not once, but twice. Last year they distributed over 11 million pounds of food. That’s a huge number and a great accomplishment. We are pleased to work with them and support them at this amazing event.”
Baseball fans are encouraged to attend the event by purchasing tickets or sponsorships, Maas says. “People are still able to purchase tickets to watch the game in a private suite,” he says. “There will be a buffet and the opportunity to meet Mr. Met, as well as auction items.”
Individual tickets cost $175 for adults and $145 for children under 18 years old. Sponsorships are also available for businesses. The minimum amount for a sponsorship is a donation of $1,000. Maas says this garners your logo a prominent display on the photo backdrop for the event, an autographed Mr. Met baseball, as well as a verbal acknowledgement during the program. “It’s really a good opportunity for local businesses to get their names out there in association with a good cause,” he says. “It’s important to support the fight against hunger and provide a better life for children.”
The event will be held on May 8 at Citi Field during the New York Mets baseball game against the Chicago White Sox at 5:40 p.m. Tickets may be purchased on the Island Harvest website.
