According to an article published by Business Insider, a recent report from BI Intelligence researched the state of social media marketing and its progression. The article outlines four major reasons why social media advertising is predicted to grow rapidly.
One main reason is because social media networks have dense databases with a large number of users. Social media users also show high levels of engagement. For instance, the article says average Americans were spending close to 12 hours per month on social media last year. The 18-24 year old demographic actually averaged about 20 hours.
The article cites that businesses will spend up to $11 billion in social media advertisements in 2017. This is mostly due to the fact that mobile usage is continuing to rise. As mobile use increases, so does the spending for ads on smartphone or tablet apps.

We have to make sure our efforts are consistent and effective. We are constantly trying new methods to advertise and developing campaigns for new technologies.
