After a 22 hour disappearance, missing Army Sgt. Robert Larson was found in the woods outside of his hometown of Minnesota. According to an article published by the Army Times, with the help of wife Pamela Larson’s Facebook campaign entitled “Help Find Sgt. Robert Larson,” Sgt. Robert Larson’s disappearance was cut short. Social media agency fishbat, commends Pamela Larson’s commitment to find Sgt. Robert Larson and applauds her use of social media to locate him.

The Army Times reported that, “the 26-year-old soldier with Training and Doctrine Command’s Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 165th Infantry Brigade, returned home. [Larson’s] cousin had found him camping out in a forest near his Minnesota hometown, about 1,200 miles and a 22-hour drive from the last place his wife had seen him.”

Pamela Larson, Sgt. Robert Larson’s wife, created the page as a way to help aid in the search for the missing Army soldier reports The Army Times. The Army Times had documented that the “Help Find Sgt. Robert Larson” Facebook page had 11,831 likes. According to the article, posts on the page ranged from “more than 5,000 ‘likes’ and upward of 800 comments.” While tips commented on the page had not garnished any assistance, “Pamela said she took comfort in knowing how many people are on her side, and she’ll keep the page going to encourage her husband through his recovery,” reported The Army Times.

“It is amazing how Pamela Larson was able to remain strong during her husband’s disappearance,” comments fishbat VP of Client Operations Justin Maas, “what’s equally amazing is how many people contributed to find this missing soldier.” Maas adds, “As a social media agency, we believe that platforms such as Facebook and Twitter can serve a higher purpose than just marketing. This Service Member’s wife found comfort within a terrifying situation because thousands of people answered her call for help. Nothing can ever replace the true compassion of caring people.” fishbat wishes the Larson family a speedy recovery and salutes service members everywhere.
