We want to make sure we do our part to make sure students have the opportunity to receive the best education possible. That is why we created the fishbat Media Scholarship to be awarded twice a year, once for the spring semester and once for the fall semester, in the amount of $500 per semester. The Scholarship is open to applicants with any major. The award will be based on academic achievement and writing aptitude.
The application deadline for the Spring 2018 semester is November 1st, 2017.
The application deadline for the Fall 2018 semester is June 15th, 2018.
To be considered for the award, both the award application and award essay must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally, the essay must be original and previously unpublished. All essays submitted shall become property of fishbat and can be used... (to specify: content may be used on the fishbat website, social media posts, fishbat blog, etc.
The fishbat Media Scholarship award will be submitted directly to the educational institution that matches the applicant’s primary .edu email address. The funds must only be spent on tuition, fees or books and supplies required for the applicant’s classes.
Enrollment and qualifications will be verified after the winner is selected and prior to an award.
fishbat will withhold the award for any applicant who no longer meets the eligibility requirements at the time of disbursement.
fishbat reserves the right to withhold disbursement for any semester in the event that no applicant meets the scholarship’s requirements for academic achievement and writing aptitude.
Judges shall be appointed by fishbat in its sole and absolute discretion.
The selection of a winner shall be final and in the sole and absolute discretion of the Judges.
Judges will select the best essay submission and the winner will be notified via email. For the Spring 2018 semester, such notification will be made by December 10, 2017. For the Fall 2018 semester, such notification should be made by July 31, 2018.

The award essay needs to focus on The Internet and its Impact on Marketing. While sub-topics should be selected to focus on specific channels such as SEO and search engines, social media, email marketing, digital advertising, web design & development, mobile/smart devices, business or personal brand etc., the focus needs to tie back to the main subject.
